MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
Instruction & Planning: Develop and implement standards-aligned lesson plans using effective instructional strategies, technology, and accommodations to meet diverse student needs.
Assessment & Student Growth: Conduct ongoing formal and informal assessments to monitor achievement, adjust instruction, and support individual learning styles, including IEP modifications.
Classroom Environment & Management: Create a safe, positive, and structured learning environment that supports students’ academic, physical, social, and emotional development, while managing behavior in accordance with district guidelines.
Collaboration & Communication: Work collaboratively with colleagues, special education staff, parents, and community members to support instructional goals and maintain open, professional communication.
Professional Responsibilities: Participate in staff development, fulfill extracurricular and committee duties, maintain required documentation, and comply with district, state, and board policies.
Skills and Qualifications:
Knowledge of the core academic subject assigned
Knowledge of curriculum and instruction
Ability to instruct students and manage their behavior
Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
Certifications:
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university
Valid Texas teaching certificate with required endorsements
