Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Maintenance Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong and be capable of performing a variety of maintenance tasks to ensure the smooth operation of our facilities. This role requires a proactive approach to problem-solving, along with the ability to work independently and as part of a team. The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for maintaining equipment, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring compliance with safety standards.
Duties
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on machinery and equipment.
- Fabricate parts as necessary to support maintenance activities.
- Utilize Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) for tracking work orders and inventory.
- Troubleshoot and repair logic controllers and other electronic components.
- Conduct inspections to identify potential issues before they become major problems.
- Weld components when required for repairs or fabrication.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and repairs performed.
- Supervise junior maintenance staff, providing leadership and training as needed.
- Use tools such as an Ohmmeter to diagnose electrical issues effectively.
Requirements
- Proven mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in maintenance roles.
- Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
- Familiarity with CMMS software for efficient maintenance management.
- Experience with logic controllers and electrical systems is preferred.
- Welding skills are a plus for fabrication tasks.
- Strong leadership qualities to supervise and mentor junior staff members.
- Ability to work independently while also collaborating within a team environment.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving with attention to detail.
