Job Objective:
Responsible for supporting the corporate mission, vision, and values. Manage all areas of accounts payable, cash receipts, billing, and collection services, which support the efficient delivery of services.
Essential Duties:
- Oversight of Billing Department, including but not limited to, ensuring timely and accurate billing for agency services and ensuring timely collection of Accounts Receivable.
- Reconciling payments (cash, check, ACH, etc.) received to payment credits: ensuring accuracy of postings to accounting and accounts receivable systems.
- Maintain reconciliation/description of all deposits.
- Responsible for maintaining billing software packages and updates, and corresponding with vendors as needed.
- Monitor the Ohio Department of Job and Family Services, the Ohio Department of Aging, and Direction Home of Eastern Ohio for new developments, compliance issues, and revenue opportunities.
- Prepare the required documents to facilitate the recording of monthly revenue and accounts receivable.
- Coordinate efforts to keep the agency in compliance with standards set by government agencies and accrediting bodies in all areas of finance and billing functions.
- Development and maintenance of policies and procedures, in conjunction with the CFO, for all finance functions.
- Participate in the preparation process for annual audits and surveys as they relate to accounts receivable, accounts payable, and billing functions.
- Prepare monthly reports, as required by the Ohio Department of Aging. Maintain ongoing relationship with the Ohio Department of Aging, including participation in focus groups.
- Ensure that accounts payable invoices are vouchered, approved, and entered into the accounting system weekly.
- Maintain a balanced petty cash fund (when applicable).
- Order office supplies in a timely, cost-efficient manner.
- Prepare bank deposits, log receipts, and post them to the general ledger.
- Maintain all accounts payable vendor files.
- Prepare all cash disbursements for mailing or EFT weekly.
- Perform all other duties and tasks assigned by the CFO.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent and five years’ accounting and/or billing experience or related training.

FLSA: Salaried/Exempt $44,000 - $48,000 depending on experience
