What are the responsibilities and job description for the Workforce Technical Training Manager position at East Mississippi Community College?
Responsible for supervising and managing all workforce training projects. Also has daily oversight of all Workforce Coordinators and Instructors/Trainers. Will serve as the lead for EMCC Workforce Data.
Implements and monitors training projects to serve external customer needs, as identified by customers to EMCC and State of MS Policies and Procedures;
Acts as team leader for the Workforce/Industrial Development personnel/collaborate with instruction;
Assists the Workforce Director in preparation of a budget based on the amount funded from the State of MS;
Completes all necessary reports for Local, and State records;
Maintains records of activities to document expenditures and project activities, collects program and student data and assists in audits;
Ensure that Workforce trainers and participants have supplies/material and equipment to conduct training at each EMCC training site;
Promotes Workforce/Communiversity activities of the college and the services available through the Workforce/Industrial Development service area;
Promotes continuous improvement and supports continuous improvement for EMCC Workforce Programs;
Identifies, implements, and oversees training in related areas for Industry partners and general public as needed;
Recruits participants, schedules training, schedules testing, assists in internships and placement of students;
Participates in recruiting and vetting instructors and industry experts for training;
Assist in payroll, purchasing and grant activities as related to EMCC Workforce Education;
Assist in Workforce Related Events as assigned by the Workforce Director.
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in a technical field related to manufacturing/related field, required.
Skills:
Strong Communication Skills, Data Analytic Skills, Computer Proficiency, & Related Leadership Skills.
Work Experience includes required number of years documented experience in a comparable/related position:
A Combination of a least:
5 years industry/Manufacturing experience
5 years educational/workforce training experience
5 years supervision experience in industry/educational/workforce training
Grant writing or Grant administration experience (Preferred)
