What are the responsibilities and job description for the Lion Hills Dishwasher position at East Mississippi Community College?
A dishwasher is responsible for the cleaning and upkeep of all silverware, flatware, and various tools and utensils in the kitchen. They are also responsible for the maintenance of various equipment in the kitchen and for the disposal of all trash and sanitation. They may also be called upon to assist the prep cooks or chefs if the need arises.
- The washing and organizing of all flatware
- The washing and organizing of all cups or glasses
- The washing and organizing of all silverware
- The washing and organizing of all utensils or tools
- The washing and organizing of all cook ware (pots, pans, chafing dishes, etc.)
- The maintenance and cleanliness of the dish pit, and the front "expo" line
- The removal of all garbage including used cooking oil
- Stocking the various cabinets with clean dishes
- Removal of soiled linens
- Any other task the chefs or managers require of them
