What are the responsibilities and job description for the Unit Manager - Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse position at East Bay Rehabilitation and Nursing Center?
East Bay Rehabilitation is a beautiful skilled rehab facility conveniently located in Clearwater, Florida, just off East Bay Drive near US-19.
We are currently seeking an LPN or RN for a Unit Manager position in our short term rehab unit.
Education & Certification Requirements:
- RN degree (ASN minimum) from an accredited college or nursing school, with current RN licensure in the state of Florida; or current LPN licensure.
- CPR certification required.
Skills & Requirements:
- Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
- Participate in health care matters and projects with the community as needed.
- Must have strong communication and presentation skills in both group and individual situations.
- Demonstrates patience, friendliness, courtesy, and respect toward residents in all situations, including challenging ones.
- Capable of making independent decisions when appropriate.
- Follows nursing department guidelines and complies with facility policies and regulatory requirements for long-term care.
- Physically able to move frequently throughout the workday.
- Able to lift up to 40 lbs. from floor to waist, 20 lbs. from waist to shoulder, carry up to 40 lbs. and push/pull up to 40 lbs.
Experience:
- 1–3 years of nursing supervisor experience in a long-term care or healthcare setting required; geriatrics experience preferred.
- Strong customer service focus and a positive, team-oriented attitude are essential.
