We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Nurse to join our healthcare team, providing high-quality patient care during the evening shift from 3:00 P.M. to 11:00 P.M., Monday through Friday. Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough patient assessments, including vital signs, physical examinations, and medical history documentation using electronic health record (EHR) systems.
- Administer medications and injections accurately following established protocols, including IV infusion and catheter care.
- Monitor patients’ conditions closely, managing acute pain and airway management as needed while ensuring patient safety at all times.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement personalized care plans tailored to individual needs, including dementia, Alzheimer's, memory care, and behavioral health considerations.
- Maintain strict adherence to HIPAA regulations and clinical confidentiality policies during all patient interactions and documentation processes.
- Assist with diagnostic evaluations and specimen collection/processing while ensuring sterile techniques are followed diligently.
- Educate patients and their families on health management strategies, discharge planning, and medication administration to promote optimal recovery and well-being.
Experience
- Proven experience working in various healthcare settings such as hospitals, skilled nursing facilities, assisted living communities, or home care environments.
- Demonstrated proficiency with EMR/EHR systems such as Epic or Cerner for accurate medical documentation and patient records management.
- Critical care experience including ICU or Level I Trauma Center exposure is highly desirable; experience in emergency medicine or urgent care is advantageous.
- Familiarity with long-term care regulations, geriatrics, dementia care, hospice care, and behavioral health practices is preferred.
- Knowledge of ICD-9/ICD-10 coding systems for accurate medical recordkeeping; experience with CPT coding is a plus.
- Strong clinical skills in medication administration, venipuncture, sterile processing techniques, first aid procedures, and basic life support (BLS).
- Ability to work effectively with diverse patient populations including individuals with developmental disabilities or complex medical needs such as tube feeding or ventilator management.
