Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to provide high-quality patient care during overnight hours from 11:00 P.M. to 7:00 A.M., Monday through Friday, with no weekend shifts. Duties
- Administer medications and injections accurately while adhering to HIPAA regulations and medical documentation standards.
- Monitor patients’ conditions closely, managing acute pain and providing specialized care such as IV infusion, catheterization, and ventilator management.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans, including discharge planning and case management.
- Maintain detailed medical records using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems such as Epic or Cerner, ensuring compliance with healthcare standards.
- Assist with diagnostic evaluations, specimen collection/processing, and basic laboratory procedures to support accurate diagnosis and treatment.
- Provide specialized dementia and Alzheimer’s care, memory care, and support for individuals with developmental disabilities or behavioral health needs.
- Ensure infection control practices are followed meticulously to maintain a safe environment for patients and staff.
Qualifications
- Valid RN license with current state licensure required
- Prior experience in critical care settings such as ICU or Level I Trauma Centers is highly desirable; experience in emergency medicine or hospital medicine is beneficial.
- Demonstrated expertise in medical-surgical nursing, geriatrics, hospice care, or post-acute care environments.
- Proficiency with EMR/EHR systems like Epic, Cerner, or Athenahealth; familiarity with ICD-9/10 coding is advantageous.
- Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, pharmacology, and medical terminology necessary for accurate patient assessment and documentation.
- Experience working with diverse populations including pediatrics, neonatal ventilators, or individuals with disabilities is a plus.
