Service Engineer
Responsibilities
- Evaluate failed mechanical seals and prepare detailed Seal Failure Reports with findings and application recommendations.
- Log seal failure data to support future reliability trend analysis and corrective action planning.
- Review application information and recommend seal types, materials, or design changes to support safe and effective performance
- Support latent and root cause analysis (L/RCA) initiatives and assist with warranty response efforts when technical issues arise.
- Troubleshoot product and system issues—remotely and onsite—and document findings and recommendations in technical reports.
- Provide field support for seal installation and performance-related issues as needed.
- Collaborate with service, design, and manufacturing teams to ensure timely and accurate repairs.
- Deliver customer presentations and product training; assist with continuous improvement projects and development of sales tools and technical guidelines.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering required.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar or related role involving mechanical seals or rotating equipment.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess failures, interpret technical data, and solve problems effectively.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills with a customer-focused approach.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook); experience with Project Management tools, Access, or CAD is a plus.
- Flexible work habits and strong self-motivation, with a commitment to quality and service excellence.
- Ability to travel up to 10%, including visits to customer facilities as required.
