Quality Technician
Pay Rate: $18.80–$25.00 per hour (based on experience)
Shift: 1st Shift, Monday–Friday, 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM
Location: Onsite
Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled Quality Technician to perform inspection, testing, and calibration of small electronic components and assemblies. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with precision measurement tools and electrical testing equipment, as well as a strong understanding of manufacturing quality standards.
This role is ideal for someone detail-oriented, organized, and comfortable collaborating with both engineering and production teams to ensure all products meet customer and regulatory specifications.
Key Responsibilities
Inspection & Testing
- Perform in-process and final inspections of small electronic components and assemblies.
- Conduct electrical testing to verify functionality and compliance with internal standards.
- Utilize measurement tools such as calipers, gauges, and micrometers to confirm product specifications.
- Perform functional and electrical testing for capacitance, resistance, and continuity.
Calibration & Documentation
- Maintain and calibrate precision measuring instruments.
- Record and document inspection and test results in accordance with ISO9001 and AS9100 standards.
- Identify non-conformances and communicate findings to engineering and production teams.
Collaboration & Continuous Improvement
- Partner with production and engineering teams to identify quality trends and implement improvements.
- Support training of junior inspectors as needed.
- Participate in corrective action and process improvement initiatives.
Qualifications
- U.S. Citizenship or Permanent Residency required
- 3–5 years of inspection, testing, or quality assurance experience in an electronic manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency using inspection and measurement tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges).
- Experience with electrical testing equipment and calibration procedures.
- Strong documentation and computer skills (Microsoft Excel and Word).
- Familiarity with ISO9001 and AS9100 quality systems preferred.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; technical or trade school background a plus.
