Job Summary:
The CNC Operator is responsible for setting up, operating, and monitoring CNC machines to produce precision components that meet exact specifications. This role requires strong attention to detail, mechanical aptitude, and the ability to ensure accuracy and efficiency in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate CNC machines (mills, lathes, or similar equipment) to manufacture metal or plastic parts according to blueprints and technical specifications.
- Inspect finished components using precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges to verify quality standards.
- Load raw materials, adjust tooling, and modify machine settings to maintain production efficiency and accuracy.
- Monitor machine performance, identify and resolve issues, and perform routine maintenance or basic troubleshooting as needed.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area in compliance with all company policies and safety regulations.
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to achieve production targets and meet deadlines.
Qualifications:
- 1β2 years of experience operating CNC machinery (mills, lathes, or comparable equipment).
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, drawings, and technical documents.
- Basic understanding of CNC machine controls, tooling, and measurement equipment.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality, precise work.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods during shifts.
