Summary:
The Customer Service Representative - Trainee will be supporting branch operations while learning all aspects of customer service at DXP. This role focuses on developing product knowledge, operational accuracy, and customer‑focused service while supporting day‑to‑day branch activities in alignment with DXP’s safety, service, and performance standards.
- Learn and assist with core customer service and branch operations, including:
- Shipping and receiving activities
- Product identification and look‑up
- Customer inquiries and quotation preparation
- Basic troubleshooting and problem resolution
- Participate in structured training covering:
- Cutting tools
- Bearings and power transmission products
- Pump parts and pump applications
- Associated reporting and internal documentation
- Accurately complete daily tasks and assigned work in a timely manner
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment in accordance with DXP safety standards
- Collaborate effectively with branch team members to support customer needs
- Provide support to other DXP locations as business needs require
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Basic computer skills, including typing and internet navigation
- Strong motivation and ability to work independently with appropriate direction
- Commitment to delivering excellent customer service
- Prior customer service or sales experience preferred
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage data entry, organization, and multitasking
