What are the responsibilities and job description for the Service Dispatcher position at DWD Mechanical Contractor Inc.?
The ideal candidate will be responsible for day to day dispatching of service technicians. Receive and schedule emergency service calls, coordinate and schedule equipment start-ups, scheduling manpower assisting with project work. They will also effectively monitor and present updates on service and projects/start-ups to Project Manager, customer and/or Account Manager.
Responsibilities
- Working direct with customers scheduling their service and maintenance needs.
- Working direct with technicians, scheduling and any support needs.
- Working with Project Managers and Account Managers coordinating project start-ups and service requests.
- Balancing daily and weekly look ahead schedule.
- Working dispatch software; customer/contact information and asset lists.
- Working with technicians and following up with open service calls.
- Acting as a resource to the service technicians.
- Generate quick quotes for customers.
Qualifications
- Emergency service equivalent experience/knowledge.
- Strong verbal, written, and organizational skills
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Strong ability to mutli-task.
- Familiarity with Microsoft 360 suite.
- Familiarity with dispatching software a plus.
- Knowledge of Mechanical and Plumbing systems a plus.
- Possible estimating proficiency a plus.
