About the Job
A leading chemical manufacturing company is seeking a Maintenance Planner/Scheduler to support daily maintenance activities, projects, and plant outages in a 24/7 operating environment. This role focuses on planning and scheduling work to ensure safe, efficient, and reliable plant operations.
The Maintenance Planner/Scheduler works closely with Maintenance, Operations, and Engineering teams and uses the site CMMS to plan and coordinate maintenance activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and schedule daily maintenance work, projects, and plant turnarounds
- Create job plans by working with technicians, supervisors, and engineers
- Use the CMMS/EAM system to plan, estimate, and schedule work orders
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and work histories
- Develop and maintain Preventive and Predictive Maintenance programs
- Manage the maintenance backlog and adjust schedules as needed
- Coordinate materials, parts, contractors, and services for planned work
- Support equipment reliability goals and maintenance KPIs
- Assist with safety, environmental, and PSM Mechanical Integrity requirements
- Support maintenance procedures, documentation, and training efforts
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required
- 6 years of maintenance experience in chemical or process manufacturing preferred
- 3 years of maintenance planning and scheduling experience preferred
- Strong understanding of mechanical or electrical maintenance practices
- Experience using CMMS/EAM systems
- Familiarity with PSM is a plus
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem‑solving skills
- Proficient with Microsoft Office
- Experience working with nitric acid, ammonia, ammonium nitrate solutions, or anhydrous ammonia (preferred but not required)
Work Requirements
- Ability to work safely in an industrial manufacturing environment
- Ability to climb, work at heights, and lift up to 50 pounds
- Willingness to wear required PPE
- Flexible schedule to support a 24/7 operation, including outages or weekends
Salary : $100,000 - $110,000
