Global Product Manager - Consumer Products
About the Role
We are seeking a strategic and consumer-focused Global Product Manager to lead a portfolio within a global consumer products category. This role owns overall business performance, including revenue growth, profitability, and market share, while driving innovation and product development from concept through launch.
You will lead a team responsible for end-to-end product lifecycle management, working cross-functionally with global teams across design, sourcing, manufacturing, marketing, and sales. The organization operates at scale, with a broad portfolio of established consumer products sold across international markets, requiring a leader who can balance innovation, brand stewardship, and operational execution.
Key Responsibilities
Strategy & Leadership
- Define and execute a forward-looking category strategy aligned with broader business goals
- Lead and develop a team of product professionals, fostering innovation and accountability
- Own product lifecycle management from concept through commercialization
- Promote a culture of consumer-first thinking, creativity, and speed to market
Portfolio & Pipeline Management
- Build and manage a high-performing product portfolio that drives growth and profitability globally
- Maintain a healthy pipeline of new concepts aligned to a multi-year roadmap
- Assess opportunities based on market demand, feasibility, and strategic fit
Consumer & Market Insights
- Develop a deep understanding of global consumer behavior, usage occasions, and lifestyle trends
- Analyze competitive landscape, retail assortments, and evolving consumer preferences
- Partner with insights teams to identify unmet needs and translate them into product opportunities
Product Innovation & Development
- Translate insights into compelling, design-forward product concepts that enhance everyday use
- Define product features, positioning, and pricing strategies
- Collaborate closely with global sourcing and manufacturing partners to deliver high-quality, cost-effective solutions
- Ensure product quality, compliance, and continuous improvement across the portfolio
Go-to-Market Execution
- Partner with marketing and sales teams to deliver strong product launches across retail and e-commerce channels
- Support development of product storytelling, merchandising strategies, and customer-facing materials
- Ensure a consistent brand experience across all consumer touchpoints
Performance & Optimization
- Monitor in-market performance and identify opportunities to enhance or refine the product portfolio
- Drive initiatives around cost optimization, packaging updates, and SKU rationalization
- Maintain product tracking and reporting to support data-driven decisions
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or related field
- 5 years of experience in product management, product marketing, or consumer goods
- Experience working within a global, multi-channel consumer products organization
- Strong analytical, project management, and communication skills
- Proven ability to manage complex initiatives across cross-functional and international teams
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools; familiarity with analytics and emerging technologies is a plus
- Willingness to travel up to 20% as needed
