About the Role

We are looking for a Roof Bartender who celebrates culture, humor, wit, thoughtful and attentive service and team orientation. You will need to have the ability to create a motivating work environment driving our Whatever It Takes attitude, and have a strong passion for excellence and guest service. The ideal candidate will strive to continuously evolve and improve their performance in order to provide a Four Diamond Level of service for all guests each and every day.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Inspect the bar prior to opening to ensure that adequate supplies are available.
  • Requests additional supplies as necessary and stocks the bar.
  • Follows set-up procedures.
  • Prepares garnishes, mixes and pre-mixed drinks.
  • Greets guests.
  • Mixes, prepares and serves drinks to guests - mixes and prepares drinks ordered by food servers.
  • Reports complaints to a manager as soon as they occur.
  • Maintains and cleans bar area and equipment.
  • Cleans and lock ups the bar area according to procedures.
  • Attends staff meetings including pre-shift (line-up) sessions as required.
  • Continually practices beverage and revenue control procedures.
  • Provide attentive and exceptional service to each customer and develop client base.
  • Completes other appropriate work assignments as requested by the manager.

Qualifications

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.   • 2-3 years related experience and/or training
  • TIPS and ServSafe Certified
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
  • Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; talk or hear and taste or smell. Frequent climbing, balancing, stopping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling may be necessary.
  • Must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Be flexible since this is a 24/7 hotel operation
  • Regular and reliable attendance.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in a luxury hotel environment.
  • Knowledge of hotel management software and systems.

Compensation and Benefits

  • $12.62 per hour
