This executive level position provides leadership over the district’s financial and operational infrastructure, ensuring that resources, systems, and services are aligned to the district’s strategic priorities and support equitable outcomes for all students.
Key Responsibilities
In alignment with Dover’s Strategic Plan, the CFOO provides leadership and oversight for:
•Budget development, long range financial planning, and fiscal reporting to ensure resources are aligned with district priorities
and student needs
•Financial systems, accounting, purchasing, and internal controls that promote transparency, accountability, and sound fiscal
management
•Facilities operations and capital planning that support safe, functional, and future focused learning environments
•Transportation and food service programs that ensure reliable access and operational efficiency
•Contract management, procurement, and vendor partnerships that maximize value and service quality
•Compliance with all state, federal, and local financial and operational regulations
The CFOO serves as a primary advisor to the Superintendent and School Board, providing data informed analysis and recommendations to support strategic decision making and long term planning.
