We are currently recruiting for a Hotel Sales Manager at our beautifully renovated DoubleTree by Hilton, Poughkeepsie!
Purpose of the Hotel Sales Manager Position:
To increase profits by increasing room sales and generating business through an aggressive Marketing/Sales/PR effort.
Hotel Sales Manager Essential Responsibilities:
Secures business for the hotels by:
- Soliciting business through history files, telephone calls, outside sales calls, and direct mailings
- Researching, analyzing and monitoring financial, technological and demographic factors so that market opportunities may be capitalized on
- Meeting with clients to sell hotel room nights and function space
- Providing tours of the hotel's facilities to prospective clients
- Entertaining clients to solicit business through lunch, dinner, and entertainment appointments
- Learning, understanding, and utilizing all Franchise brand specific sales programs and tools
- Analyze all reporting tools
- Participating in Sales Blitzes
- Becoming a member and having involvement in industry organizations to meet prospective clients
- Minimum of 3 work days each week outside with scheduled appointments, cold calls, prospecting, community events, etc.
Contributes to the financial success of the company by:
- Selling all product lines of the hotel, including catering, rooms, packages, lounge and restaurant promotions
- Meeting and exceeding budget and booking goals monthly
- Assist in the creation and utilization of the hotel sales and marketing plan
- Coordinates public relations and chamber events
Maintains professional and technical knowledge by:
- Attending sales seminars
- Obtaining information on local area competition and customer segments
- Investigating, researching and developing specific market trends
- Understanding laws pertaining to local hotel room taxes, political contributions, alcoholic beverages, guest complaints, ADA, Hotel sales contracts, price fixing, rebates to groups as pertaining to situations
- Assisting and understanding the Business Plan for the hotel
- Learn the brand's inventory forecasting systems
Qualifications and Requirements
One to three years of experience in a hospitality or hotel sales and marketing setting. Strong knowledge of local businesses and business trends required.

Pay Disclaimer:
The base pay range represents the low and high end of the pay range. Actual salaries will vary depending on many factors such as skills, experience, certifications, and performance to name a few. The rate listed is just one component of the total compensation package for associates. Other rewards may include bonuses, paid time off, a competitive 401K plan with matching, hotel discounts, growth opportunities, and more!
Pay: $70,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
