Banquet Manager

The Banquet Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of banquet and event operations, ensuring exceptional guest experiences and seamless execution of meetings, social events, and special functions. This is a hands-on leadership role that manages banquet staff, coordinates event logistics, maintains banquet spaces, and upholds service standards while prioritizing guest comfort, safety, and satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage daily banquet operations, including event setup, execution, and breakdown

• Lead, schedule, train, and motivate banquet staff to ensure consistent service excellence

• Review, understand, and execute events according to Banquet Event Orders (BEOs)

• Coordinate closely with Sales, Catering, Culinary, and Hotel Operations teams

• Ensure meeting and function rooms are properly set, maintained, and guest-ready

• Monitor staffing levels and labor costs while meeting service standards

• Manage and order banquet supplies, equipment, and inventory

• Handle guest inquiries and concerns promptly, professionally, and effectively

• Enforce safety standards and ensure compliance with hotel policies and procedures

• Step into service roles as needed to support staff and maintain event flow

Job Requirements

If you are passionate about hospitality and thrive in a fast-paced event environment, we would love to connect with you. Ideal candidates will possess:

• Previous banquet, catering, or event management experience (hotel or hospitality preferred)

• Strong leadership, organizational, and time-management skills

• Excellent guest service and communication abilities

• Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple events simultaneously

• Ability to lead teams effectively while working independently when needed

• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays based on event needs

• Ability to remain calm and professional in high-pressure situations

• Physical stamina, including standing and walking for extended periods and lifting as required

• Ability to follow directions and execute events to precise standards
