DoubleTree by Hilton Torrance - South Bay is looking for Steward / Prep Cook to join our team. Our ideal candidate is a self-starter, ambitious, multi tasked and reliable.
Responsibilities
- Wash dishes, glassware, flatware, pots or pans using dishwashers or by hand.
- Sort and stack clean dishes; carry clean dishes to proper storage areas.
- Maintain a clean and tidy work area.
- Transfers supplies and equipment between storage and work areas.
- Mix, wash, peel, chop, grind, strain, slice meat and vegetables.
- Basic cooking functions such as kneading dough, and preparing sauces
- Label stock and inventory all ingredients.
- Follow health and safety guidelines.
- Willing to do other tasks as assigned.
- Prior guest service or other hospitality experience preferred
Qualifications
- Able to multi task and be on your feet constantly.
- High integrity with a great attendance record and flexibility.
- Ability to listen and communicate effectively.
- Prior guest service or other hospitality experience preferred
- Flexible schedule is a must to include weekends and holidays
