Dothan Country Club is seeking a highly skilled and knowledgeable Bartender to join our hospitality team. This role is a key component of our service team, responsible for delivering exceptional hospitality and technical precision at the clubhouse bar and various special events. The ideal candidate will possess a deep appreciation for craft cocktails, wine service, and the high standards define our club’s culture.
What You’ll Do
- Technical Mixology: Prepare and serve a diverse menu of high-quality beverages with strict adherence to recipes, measurements, and presentation standards.
- Wine Excellence: Demonstrate proficiency in wine service, including proper pouring techniques, varietal knowledge, and the ability to make pairing recommendations.
- Member Engagement: Execute a seamless service flow from the initial greeting to the final departure, ensuring every member feels recognized and valued.
- Bar Operations: Maintain a pristine and organized bar environment, manage daily inventory, and ensure all bar equipment is handled with care.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with both FOH and BOH teams to provide a cohesive and elevated dining experience.
What We’re Looking For
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in a high-end restaurant, craft cocktail bar, or private club environment.
- Age Requirement: Must be 21 years of age or older (required for handling and serving alcoholic beverages).
- Skills: Strong foundational knowledge of classic cocktails, spirits, and international wine regions.
- Professionalism: A commitment to maintaining high standards of personal appearance and grooming, and a sophisticated, approachable demeanor.
- Mindset: A passion for hospitality and a "member-first" attitude.
- Precision: Expert mechanical skills in measuring, pouring, and glassware handling.
- Availability: Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by the club’s event calendar. Sunday availability required.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand for extended periods and move through the clubhouse efficiently.
- Ability to lift up to 30 lbs.
