Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a variety of beverages including cocktails, spirits, wine, craft beers, and non-alcoholic options with precision and flair
- Engage with guests to understand their preferences, recommend drinks, and upsell menu items to enhance their experience
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, ensuring compliance with food safety standards and proper food handling procedures
- Process cash transactions accurately using POS systems , including cash handling and processing payments
- Develop new beverage recipes and contribute to the bar’s creative offerings to keep the menu fresh and exciting
- Collaborate with restaurant staff to coordinate service during busy periods such as banquets or catering events
- Uphold responsible alcohol service policies by checking IDs and monitoring guest consumption to promote a safe environment
Experience
- Proven experience as a bartender in fine dining or high-volume settings with a strong understanding of mixology techniques
- Extensive knowledge of spirits, wine varieties, craft beer styles, and beverage recipe development
- Demonstrated ability to manage time effectively during peak hours while maintaining excellent customer service standards
- Experience in food service or restaurant environments with a focus on hospitality industry best practices
- Strong math skills for retail math, basic math calculations, and cash handling accuracy
- Previous bartending roles involving banquet or catering experience are highly desirable
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and proper food handling procedures is essential
