Job Duties and Other Information
Job Duties:
- Installs, replaces, and maintains all permanent and temporary highway signs on state roads in compliance with MUTCD standards.
- Interprets legal orders and regulations to determine precise placement of regulatory signs such as speed zones and weight limits.
- Performs installation, replacement, and maintenance of pavement markings (stop bars, arrows, legends, markers) according to MUTCD guidelines.
- Maintains records including electronic daily work reports, GPS sign locations, material usage, inventory, and performs sign cleaning and vegetation clearing.
- Operates, maintains, and transports equipment such as sign trucks, small tools, and changeable/portable message boards.
