Job Description
This Electromechanical Test Technician role is primarily responsible for the electrical, mechanical, and environmental testing and evaluation of new and existing Electromechanical medical devices.
- Handle test stands, set-up, perform and monitor testing activities.
- Interact with lab equipment such as microscopes, measurement devices, and torque drivers.
- Participate in multiple training sessions for lab practices and documentation.
The role involves light manual work, data collection, and testing of electromechanical devices. This Person will be trained on multiple training procedures such as documentation, Practice and lab safety practice.
Key Responsibilities:
- Testing products in the Reliability Test Lab to test requirements specified by Product and Reliability Engineering.
- Taking direction from the Reliability Test Manager, Lab Supervisor and Test Engineers on safe working procedures, use of equipment, recording of test data, and monitoring of results.
- Providing accurate and timely documented results. Communicating test results to appropriate engineering personnel.
- Performing teardown destructive testing or test to failure activities as part of the product development process.
- Participating with product failure analysis collaboratively with project engineers, including the suggestion of product design improvements based on observation and test results.
