POSITION: Administrative Assistant 2026-2027
LOCATION: District Office
QUALIFICATIONS: High school diploma or equivalent required, with one to two years of administrative or clerical experience preferred. Candidate must demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, strong written and verbal communication skills, organizational skills, and the ability to maintain confidentiality. Experience with Adobe Creative Suite, website updates, or digital communications is preferred.
REPORTS TO: Multiple Directors
GENERAL SUMMARY:
The Administrative Assistant provides professional administrative and operational support to assigned district leaders and departments. Responsibilities include coordinating office functions, managing communications, maintaining records, supporting projects and events, and assisting with departmental operations in a collaborative and service-oriented environment.
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provides administrative support, including managing correspondence, scheduling meetings, answering phone calls, greeting visitors, and maintaining calendars.

Prepares, formats, processes, and maintains various documents, reports, presentations, purchase orders, invoices, agendas, and related records.

Assists with internal and external communications, district publications, and digital content updates.

Supports the planning and coordination of meetings, trainings, special events, and district initiatives.

Assists with maintaining accurate website and digital communication content as assigned.

Maintains confidential employee, student, and departmental information in accordance with district procedures and applicable laws.

Orders and monitors office supplies, materials, and equipment as needed.

Collaborates with district and school-based staff to support efficient department operations and customer service.

Provides backup administrative support for other departments or offices as needed.

Operates standard office technology and software systems effectively and efficiently.

Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned by supervisors.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
Conducts duties in an office environment with no significant exposure to environmental conditions. Requires the ability to work under a degree of stress related to duties that require constant attention and meeting deadlines. Physical demands are limited to office work requiring lifting or moving items up to 25 pounds. The job requires operating standard office equipment. The nature of the job requires frequent use of computers and monitors for long durations.
