• $105,000 to $165,000. They’ll hire anywhere from 1 to 5 years, so the band covers two levels: an associate a year or two in toward the lower end, and someone close to five years who already runs a hearing docket toward the top.

What you’ll actually do

• Defend Maryland workers’ compensation claims, with Commission hearings at the center of your week.
• Work on several stages of each matter, so you see a claim from more than one angle.

• Learn inside a group that builds mentoring into how it works.

• Admission to the Maryland bar.
• 1 to 5 years of workers’ compensation experience.
• A calm voice for an employer facing their first comp claim.
