We are seeking a hands-on Upcast Operator to oversee continuous casting operations, troubleshoot production issues, and maintain safety, quality, and productivity standards.
Reporting to the Upcasting Supervisor, this role will work closely with the production team to support efficient operations and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
Responsibilities
- Perform machine changeovers and setups.
- Operate equipment and handle copper ingots.
- Monitor materials, connect ladle services, and maintain accurate tracking and production records.
- Measure temperatures and collect material samples.
- Prepare and assemble tundish components for machine and emergency testing.
- Assist with secondary cooling system repairs.
- Maintain steel cleanliness and perform ladle openings using oxygen.
- Ensure product quality and promptly report deviations.
- Follow established operating and safety procedures.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
- Assist with lockout/tagout procedures and routine equipment maintenance.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Minimum of 6 months of manufacturing experience.
- Casting and downstream processing experience preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Basic mathematical proficiency.

Schedule
- Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and every other Saturday, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM

Salary : $35,496 - $48,190
