Public Company Mergers & Acquisitions Associate Attorney – New York

Direct Counsel is seeking a Public Company M&A Associate to join a highly respected Am Law firm in New York. This is an exceptional opportunity for a corporate associate with sophisticated public company transaction experience to join a growing and nationally recognized M&A practice.

The ideal candidate will have at least 4 years of experience representing public companies in complex mergers and acquisitions transactions at a leading law firm. Candidates should have significant experience drafting and negotiating principal acquisition agreements and managing sophisticated transactional matters in a fast-paced environment.

Qualified candidates will possess:

• 4 years of public company M&A experience at an Am Law 100 or similarly sophisticated law firm
• Experience drafting and negotiating acquisition agreements and related transaction documents
• Strong transactional management skills and the ability to independently handle complex deal components
• Excellent drafting, analytical, communication, and negotiation skills
• Strong academic credentials from a nationally recognized law school
• Admission to practice in New York or eligibility to waive in
