Direct Counsel is seeking a Real Estate Attorney to join a well-established national company with a strong presence in the commercial real estate and title industry. Key Responsibilities
- Advise on commercial real estate transactions, including title review, underwriting, and related documentation.
- Identify and resolve complex title and transactional issues.
- Draft and interpret legal documents such as purchase agreements, leases, easements, and loan documents.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to ensure smooth, compliant transactions.
- Provide practical, business-minded legal counsel to support company initiatives.
Qualifications
- J.D. from an accredited law school; active license to practice law in the U.S.
- 3-8 years of experience in commercial real estate, ideally with exposure to title or underwriting matters.
- Strong drafting, analytical, and communication skills.
- Proactive and collaborative mindset with the ability to work cross-functionally.
Compensation & Structure
- Base salary: $130,000-$150,000 (commensurate with experience).
- Schedule: 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m., approximately 40 hours per week.
- Hybrid flexibility: A few in-office days per week required.
