What are the responsibilities and job description for the Construction Associate position at Direct Counsel?
Direct Counsel is proud to partner with an AmLaw 200 firm in its search for an Attorney with 2 years of construction law experience to join the firm’s Construction Business Unit in Scottsdale, Arizona.
Ideal candidates will possess:

Courtroom experience, including file management, motion practice, and depositions

Strong advocacy, legal research, writing, and negotiation skills

Prior experience handling construction claims in litigation and/or arbitration
-
Familiarity with drafting and negotiating construction contracts for owners, general contractors, subcontractors, and design professionals (preferred)
Qualifications:

Excellent analytical abilities, attention to detail, and strong organizational skills

A solid work ethic and a commitment to delivering high-quality legal service

A J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school
-
Active license to practice law in Arizona
Compensation & Benefits:

Salary range: $130,000 – $165,000 annually (based on a full-time schedule)

Annual discretionary bonus eligibility
