Direct Counsel is seeking a Civil & Commercial Litigation Attorney to join a prominent national law firm in its Naples, Florida office. About the Role
The firm's litigation team represents businesses, developers, contractors, and other clients in a wide range of complex disputes across multiple industries.
Attorneys in this role will handle matters involving:

Real estate and development-related litigation

General civil litigation

Alternative dispute resolution proceedings
This position offers the opportunity to manage cases from inception through resolution while working closely with clients and experienced practitioners on sophisticated litigation matters.
Responsibilities
Attorneys will play a lead role in all phases of litigation, including:

Managing cases from initial assessment through trial or resolution

Developing litigation strategy and case plans

Taking and defending depositions
-
Drafting and arguing substantive motions

Appearing as lead counsel at hearings and court proceedings

Conducting factual investigations and legal research

Advising clients on litigation risks and business objectives

Managing day-to-day case activity and deadlines
-
Supervising junior attorneys and support staff, where appropriate

Supporting business development and growth initiatives within the practice
Qualifications

J.D. from an accredited law school with strong academic credentials.

Active membership in the Florida Bar.

Approximately 5–15 years of litigation experience.

Experience handling business, commercial, construction, and/or general civil litigation matters.

Demonstrated ability to independently manage complex litigation matters.

Significant deposition and motion practice experience.

Courtroom and hearing experience.

Strong legal writing, advocacy, and analytical skills.

Excellent interpersonal and client relationship management abilities.

Leadership qualities and the ability to mentor junior team members.

Portable business is welcomed but not required.
