Energy Transactions Associate – AmLaw 100 Firm

Direct Counsel represents an AmLaw 100 firm seeking an Energy Transactions Associate with 3–7 years of transactional experience to join its Energy & Climate Solutions Group.
The ideal candidate will have experience advising clients on complex energy transactions, including project development agreements, power purchase agreements (PPAs), offtake arrangements, joint ventures, acquisitions, and related financing matters.
The associate will work with innovative energy companies across solar, wind, geothermal, battery storage, nuclear, natural gas, and data center projects.
Qualifications:
- 3–7 years of transactional experience in energy, infrastructure, project development, or related areas
- Experience drafting and negotiating commercial agreements preferred
- Familiarity with energy projects, acquisitions, financing, or joint ventures
- Strong drafting, analytical, communication, and project management skills
- Ability to work effectively with clients, partners, and opposing counsel
Compensation & Benefits
The expected salary range is $260,000–$420,000, depending on experience and associate year level. Discretionary merit-based bonuses may also be awarded.
