Overview
Direct Counsel is seeking a Real Estate Associate to join a leading law firm’s Real Estate practice. This role offers the opportunity to work on sophisticated commercial real estate transactions, including acquisitions, financings, joint ventures, leasing, and development projects.
Responsibilities
- Draft and negotiate purchase agreements, JV agreements, and loan documents
- Support acquisitions, dispositions, and real estate financings
- Assist with leasing matters (office, retail, industrial, mixed-use)
- Conduct due diligence (title, survey, zoning, environmental)
- Coordinate closings and manage transaction documentation
Qualifications
- 2–5 years of real estate transactional experience
- Strong drafting, negotiation, and organizational skills
- Experience with commercial real estate transactions and diligence
- Ability to manage deals from signing through closing
- Bar admission in the relevant jurisdiction required
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary range: $225,000 – $435,000 bonus (based on class year)
