Assists the Finance Officer by directing accounting and budgeting for assigned Diocesan entities. Prepares and presents financial information to internal and external parties. Supervises finance department staff.

MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS REQUIRED:

- Bachelor’s degree in accounting required
- Certified Public Accountant designation preferred
- 5-7 years of progressive accounting experience, including supervision of daily operations required.
- Strong knowledge of accounting standards, practices and procedures.
- Audit experience preferred.
- Knowledge of general tax laws and year-end tax reporting requirements.
- MS Office, with strong Excel skills required
- Strong analytical and reasoning abilities, including planning, organizing and decision-making abilities with follow through
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong leadership skills including: direction, supervision, feedback, and training
- Ability to multi-task with attention to detail
- Is ethical and honest in all interactions
- Independence; develop one’s own way of doing things; guide oneself with little supervision
- Maintain confidentiality
