Third Grade Teacher

St. John the Baptist Catholic School | Indiana

St. John the Baptist Catholic School is seeking a dedicated and faith-filled Third Grade Teacher to join our school community. We are looking for an educator who is passionate about helping students grow academically, spiritually, socially, and emotionally while creating a positive and engaging classroom environment.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging, standards-aligned instruction in reading, writing, mathematics, science, and social studies.

• Integrate Catholic faith, Gospel values, and the teachings of the Church throughout the school day.

• Create a structured, positive classroom environment with high expectations for student learning and behavior.

• Differentiate instruction to meet the academic needs of all learners.

• Assess student learning and use data to guide instruction and support student growth.

• Communicate regularly and professionally with parents and guardians.

• Collaborate with colleagues, interventionists, and school leadership to support student success.

• Participate in faculty meetings, professional development, school Masses, and other school and parish activities.

• Support the mission and Catholic identity of St. John the Baptist Catholic School.

• Maintain a safe, respectful, and welcoming classroom for all students.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field.

• Valid Indiana teaching license or eligibility to obtain an Indiana teaching license.

• Strong classroom management and communication skills.

• Ability to differentiate instruction and meet the needs of diverse learners.

• Commitment to continuous professional growth and collaboration.

• Practicing Catholic preferred; candidates must be supportive of and committed to the mission and teachings of the Catholic Church.

• Successful completion of required background checks and child-safety training.
