Registered Nurse (RN) – Med Surg / Telemetry (Travel Assignment)
Location: Springfield, VT
Start Date: April 27, 2026
Duration: 13 Weeks
Shift: Days (7:00 AM – 7:30 PM)
Hours: 36 hours/week (12-hour shifts)
- Traveler Pay Rate: $68 per hour
- Local Pay Rate: $63 per hour
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) for a Med Surg/Telemetry travel assignment in a 25-bed critical access hospital. This is an adaptive acuity unit, and candidates must be flexible and comfortable providing PCU-level care (3:1 ratio) when required.
- Important: PCU care is mandatory when needed and cannot be declined.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide care in a Med Surg/Telemetry setting (1:5 ratio)
- Float to other inpatient units within scope of practice
- Deliver PCU-level care as needed
- Administer and manage IV drips including:
- Insulin
- Esmolol
- Sodium-based drips
- Maintain accurate documentation and patient monitoring
Schedule & Requirements
- 12-hour day shifts (36 hours guaranteed)
- Every other weekend required
- Holidays as needed
- No on-call requirements (TBD if applicable)
Qualifications (Required)
- Minimum 2 years of current Med Surg/Telemetry experience
- PCU experience (strongly required)
- IV drip experience (required)
- Minimum 3 months prior travel experience (non-negotiable)
- Active RN License (Vermont or Compact)
- BLS & ACLS certifications (AHA)
- Willingness to float within scope
- Own transportation required
