Schedule: 8-Hour Shifts (Blend of Mid and Night Shifts Available)
Job Overview
Facility is seeking a Certified Medication Aide (CMA) to support residents in an Assisted Living/Long-Term Care environment on a 6-week contract assignment. This role is ideal for experienced Medication Aides who are comfortable working in a fast-paced LTC setting and assisting with medication administration and resident care.
The ideal candidate will have recent long-term care experience and an active Oregon CMA certification.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer medications to residents according to physician orders and facility protocols.
- Monitor residents for medication reactions and report concerns to nursing staff.
- Assist residents with daily living activities and basic caregiving tasks as needed.
- Maintain accurate medication documentation and records.
- Ensure medication carts and supplies are organized and secured.
- Follow infection control and safety guidelines.
- Collaborate with nursing staff and caregivers to support quality resident care.
Requirements
- Active Oregon Certified Medication Aide (CMA) Certification – Required
- Minimum 2 years of recent Long-Term Care (LTC) experience
- Experience working in Assisted Living or Skilled Nursing facilities preferred
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
