Eminence Dickson Health and Rehab is seeking a reliable and experienced Dietary Cook to join our dietary team. The Dietary Cook is responsible for preparing nutritious, appetizing meals for residents in accordance with physician orders, dietary needs, and facility standards. This role plays a vital part in ensuring resident satisfaction, safety, and overall well-being.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook meals according to planned menus and standardized recipes
- Ensure all meals meet dietary requirements, including modified textures and therapeutic diets
- Follow proper food handling, sanitation, and infection control procedures
- Maintain kitchen cleanliness and comply with health department regulations
- Assist with food prep, portioning, and tray line as needed
- Monitor food temperatures and ensure proper storage of all food items
- Work closely with Dietary Manager and clinical staff regarding resident dietary needs
- Maintain accurate production and sanitation records
- Ensure timely meal service to residents
- Previous cooking experience in healthcare, long-term care, or food service preferred
- Knowledge of therapeutic diets and food safety standards is a plus
- Ability to read and follow recipes and dietary instructions
- Strong attention to detail and time management skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Dependable with strong attendance record
- Food Handler Certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Full-Time and Part-Time positions available
- Morning and Evening shifts available
