What are the responsibilities and job description for the Senior Construction Project Manager position at Diamond Peak Recruiting?
Senior Project Manager
Commercial General Contractor
Seattle, WA
Base Salary up to $165,000 Exceptional Bonus & Benefits
Some project management roles are about keeping schedules updated and budgets in line. This one is about building something bigger—projects, teams, and a long-term career with a contractor that invests in its people.
We’re a well-established commercial general contractor in the Seattle market, known for delivering complex projects the right way and for developing leaders from within. As we continue to grow, we’re looking for a Senior Project Manager who sees their role not as a job, but as the next step toward leadership.
What You’ll Do
As a Senior Project Manager, you’ll be trusted with full ownership of complex commercial projects—from preconstruction through closeout—while mentoring teams and helping shape how work gets done.
- Lead commercial projects from early planning through final turnover, with full responsibility for schedule, budget, quality, and client satisfaction
- Partner closely with superintendents, owners, architects, and trade partners to drive collaboration and accountability
- Manage and develop Project Managers, Project Engineers, and support staff
- Proactively identify risks, solve problems, and keep projects moving forward—without relying on micromanagement
- Play an active role in preconstruction, value engineering, and strategic planning
- Serve as a trusted point of contact for clients and internal leadership
What We’re Looking For
We’re seeking someone who has earned their seat at the table and is ready for more influence and responsibility.
- 7–10 years of experience as a Project Manager with a commercial general contractor
- Proven success delivering ground-up and/or complex TI commercial projects
- Strong financial acumen with experience managing multi-million-dollar budgets
- A calm, solutions-oriented leadership style that teams want to work for
- Desire to grow into a future leadership role, not just manage the next project
Why This Role Is Different
This isn’t a churn-and-burn environment. We care about how projects are built and how people are treated along the way.
- Base salary up to $165,000, depending on experience
- Industry-leading benefits and a comprehensive compensation package
- Performance-based bonuses that reflect real contributions
- Long-term career growth with clear pathways into senior leadership
- A company culture that values trust, accountability, and work-life sustainability
If you’re a Senior Project Manager who still takes pride in building things well—and wants to work somewhere your voice matters—we’d welcome a conversation.
Apply confidentially. Even if you’re not actively looking, this may be worth exploring.
