This role is ideal for a hands-on leader with a strong background in federal construction standards, safety compliance, and team management, who is comfortable traveling to multiple project sites.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee day-to-day construction operations on government/commercial projects, ensuring quality, schedule, and budget adherence.
- Supervise subcontractors, craft labor, and field personnel to maintain productivity and compliance.
- Enforce adherence to GSA standards, OSHA regulations, and project-specific safety protocols.
- Review and coordinate construction plans, submittals, RFIs, and change orders.
- Conduct site inspections, progress meetings, and reporting to project managers and clients.
- Manage project schedules, material deliveries, and equipment usage to optimize efficiency.
- Address on-site challenges, troubleshoot issues, and implement solutions promptly.
- Maintain documentation for compliance, quality control, and safety reporting.
- Proven experience as a Construction Superintendent on commercial and/or government projects.
- Familiarity with GSA contracts and federal construction requirements strongly preferred.
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to travel extensively and manage multiple projects in different locations.
- Knowledge of scheduling software (e.g., Procore, MS Project) and construction documentation practices.
- Experience supervising subcontractors and managing field teams.
- OSHA certification required; other safety certifications a plus.
