Job Title: Construction Project Manager – Public Works

Location: Las Vegas, NV

Salary: $115,000 – $145,000 base (DOE) benefits

About The Role

Our client is seeking an experienced Construction Project Manager to lead and deliver public works projects in the Las Vegas area. This role is responsible for overseeing all phases of construction, from pre-construction planning through closeout, ensuring projects are completed safely, on time, within budget, and in compliance with all public agency requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage multiple public works construction projects simultaneously, including roads, utilities, municipal facilities, and infrastructure improvements
• Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and forecasts
• Coordinate with owners, government agencies, subcontractors, and internal teams
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, including permitting and inspections
• Lead pre-construction efforts including estimating support, constructability reviews, and procurement planning
• Oversee subcontractor performance, contracts, and change orders
• Monitor project progress and proactively address risks, delays, and cost impacts
• Maintain high standards for safety, quality control, and documentation
• Prepare and present project status reports to stakeholders and leadership
  
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
• 4 years of project management experience in public works construction
• Strong knowledge of municipal/public agency processes, including bidding, contracting, and compliance
• Proven ability to manage budgets, schedules, and teams effectively
• Experience with infrastructure projects such as roads, grading, utilities, or site development
• Proficiency in project management software and tools (e.g., Procore, Primavera, MS Project)
• Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
  
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working with Nevada public agencies
• Professional certifications (e.g., PMP, CCM)
• Familiarity with prevailing wage requirements and public funding regulations
