We are seeking an experienced and adaptable Residential Program Manager to oversee operations at our Orangevale residential treatment location. The Residential Program Manager will provide day-to-day oversight of program operations, staff performance, and client care while ensuring full compliance with DHCS and Joint Commission standards. Key Responsibilities
- Provide operational and clinical leadership for the Orangevale residential treatment program, including detox and residential services.
- Ensure continuous compliance with DHCS, Joint Commission, CARF, and other applicable state and federal regulations.
- Oversee daily program operations, including group programming, staff coordination, client flow, and facility standards.
- Supervise, support, and develop AOD counselors and residential staff, fostering accountability and professional growth.
- Review clinical documentation, including group notes and treatment plans, to ensure quality, accuracy, and regulatory compliance.
- Manage client-related operational requests, including visitation approvals, drop-off requests, and program logistics.
- Identify operational gaps and design, implement, and refine processes and workflows to improve efficiency and consistency.
- Respond effectively to changing priorities, crises, and high-acuity situations while maintaining program stability.
- Collaborate with clinical leadership, nursing, operations, and facilities to ensure coordinated, high-quality care delivery.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in psychology, social work, counseling, public health, or a related field preferred.
- Current state certification or licensure as an AOD counselor required (CADC, SUDCC, or higher preferred).
- Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in a substance use disorder treatment setting.
- At least 2 years of leadership or supervisory experience in residential or behavioral health care.
- Demonstrated experience with regulatory compliance, audits, and accreditation standards.
- Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience working in a fast-paced, 24/7 residential treatment environment preferred.
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary range: $70,000 - $90,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
- Bonus eligibility: Up to 10% annual performance-based bonus.
