Job Summary
We are seeking a Safety Coordinator to support the renovation and expansion of the Austin Semiconductor Plant. In this role, you’ll ensure workplace safety, lead orientations and training, and maintain accurate safety documentation. Fluency in Spanish and English is required to effectively support a diverse workforce.
Responsibilities
- Communicate with team members to coordinate daily work and maintain records with contractor companies
- Record and track daily work activities to support project scheduling
- Organize and manage multiple project files and documents daily
- Conduct safety orientations for new contractor employees
- Prepare and support safety events and safety training sessions
- Create and maintain weekly safety meeting documents
- Record all accidents and analyze injury/incident trends
- Maintain records of safety meetings and orientations
- Manage new contractor employee badging process
- Submit safety material purchase requests
- Provide personal protective equipment (PPE) to team members
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant construction experience (preferred)
- OSHA Certification (preferred)
- Bilingual in English and Spanish (required)
- Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
