Job Title: ServiceNow Functional Analyst

Job Summary
The ServiceNow Functional Analyst serves as the primary bridge between business stakeholders and technical delivery teams, responsible for gathering requirements, designing functional solutions, and ensuring successful implementation across the ServiceNow platform. This role focuses on translating business needs into clear functional requirements, validating workflows and process designs, and supporting end‑to‑end delivery through the SDLC.
The ideal candidate has strong ServiceNow functional expertise, excellent communication skills, and experience working in Agile environments.
Key Responsibilities
Business Analysis & Requirements
- Act as the primary liaison between business users and technical teams.
- Facilitate requirement‑gathering workshops and stakeholder interviews.
- Translate business needs into ServiceNow functional requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
- Document process flows, use cases, and functional specifications.
ServiceNow Functional Design
- Design, validate, and support ServiceNow workflows, catalog items, SLAs, assignment rules, and process logic.
- Ensure functional designs align with platform standards, governance, and best practices.
- Assist with integration requirements, data mapping, and CMDB alignment.
Delivery & SDLC Support
- Support Agile delivery activities including sprint planning, backlog refinement, build reviews, and release readiness.
- Coordinate and manage User Acceptance Testing (UAT), including test case definition, execution support, and defect validation.
- Partner with developers, architects, service desk, and operations teams throughout delivery.
Reporting & Operational Support
- Define reports, dashboards, KPIs, and service metrics in collaboration with stakeholders.
- Assist with incident triage, root‑cause analysis (RCA), and functional issue resolution.
- Ensure documentation, change control, and compliance standards are followed consistently.
Required Qualifications
- 2 years of experience in business analysis, systems analysis, or functional consulting.
- Hands‑on experience with the ServiceNow platform, including one or more modules such as:
- ITSM
- HRSD
- ITOM
- Strong requirements‑gathering, documentation, and functional design skills.
- Experience supporting Agile delivery teams and managing UAT efforts.
- Ability to collaborate effectively across business, technical, and operational teams.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in enterprise ServiceNow environments.
- Familiarity with CMDB concepts, integrations, and data governance.
- Experience defining service reports, dashboards, and operational KPIs.
- Prior experience supporting production operations or service management processes.
- ServiceNow training or certification (e.g., Certified System Administrator) is a plus.
