What are the responsibilities and job description for the School Van Driver position at Devon Preparatory School?
Devon Preparatory School is seeking to find a qualified part time van driver. Applicants should be available during the afternoon to transport students to their designated stops within the surrounding counties of the Devon area. This position will include transporting students to and from school-based field trips and sports events. Must have driving/transportation experience with school students.
Van Driver
- part-time, 3-5 days afternoon route, 15-20 hrs. per week.
- 2026-2027 School Year
Responsibilities:
- Safely transport passengers to and from destination
- Perform pre/post trip vehicle inspections
- Report all vehicle maintenance needs to Transportation Coordinator
- Take van for fuel/ clean inside van
Licensures/Certifications:
- Valid United States driver’s license
- Driving records in good standing
- CDL License preferred (student )
Requirements (employment will be contingent upon successful completion of):
- Child Abuse Clearance
- FBI Fingerprinting
- Criminal Background Check
- Mandated Drug/Alcohol Screen
- Driving Record Check
