CNC Machine Operator – Davenport, IA

This is a full-time, Temp-to-Hire position offering a direct path to permanent employment. Must have longevity on current resume.
Compensation & Shifts
- Pay Rate: $16.00 – $19.00 per hour, commensurate with experience (DOE).
- Shifts Available: 2nd and 3rd Shifts
- 2nd Shift: 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM
- 3rd Shift: 11:00 PM – 7:00 AM
- Schedule: Monday – Friday, 40 hours per week.

Key Responsibilities
The CNC Machine Operator will be responsible for the setup, operation, and maintenance of high-tech machinery to produce precision tools and components. Specific duties include:
- Operation & Setup: Prepare and operate CNC machines, primarily for fluting operations.
- Blueprint Interpretation: Accurately read and interpret complex blueprints and mechanical drawings.
- Material Handling: Prepare, load, and securely fasten raw materials onto machine fixtures.
- Monitoring & Control: Continuously supervise machine performance, adjusting controls to optimize output and ensure smooth operation.
- Quality Assurance: Utilize precision measuring devices to inspect finished products, ensuring strict adherence to quality standards and design specifications.
- Communication: Maintain a high level of attention to detail and communicate effectively with supervisors and team members regarding production status and issues.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Experience: Proven experience operating CNC machinery is strongly preferred. Candidates with strong mechanical aptitude and some previous machine operation experience may be considered for training.
- Skills: Demonstrated ability to read and interpret technical documentation (blueprints/drawings).
- Physical: Capable of frequent standing and occasional lifting, up to 50 lbs (occasionally), 25 lbs (frequently), and 10 lbs (consistently).
- Hiring Process: Successful completion of a national background check and drug test is required.
