Position Summary
The DCW Coordinator is responsible for overseeing the Direct Care Worker Program, including staff scheduling, training, competency tracking, payroll coordination, and compliance. This role works closely with clinical staff, case managers, and the Arizona Long Term Care System (ALTCS) to ensure quality service delivery and regulatory compliance.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Maintain accurate schedules and availability records for Direct Care Workers.
Communicate scheduling updates and changes to Direct Care Workers.
Review timesheets for accuracy and timely submission.
Maintain an accurate client census.
Coordinate staffing assignments with the Office Manager and Clinical Director to ensure appropriate in-home supervision.
Process payroll data accurately and ensure timely compensation of Direct Care Workers.
Verify service authorizations are obtained prior to service delivery.
Ensure services are provided within authorized parameters.
Maintain training, testing, and competency records for Direct Care Workers.
Support billing and care management functions through timely and accurate data entry.
Ensure compliance with Direct Care Worker Training and Testing requirements.
Review OIG, SAM, and APS reports monthly.
Complete and submit Non-Provision of Services Logs to ALTCS/DDD in a timely manner.
Develop and maintain professional relationships with referral sources, case managers, and team members.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Bilingual in English and Spanish (required).
Strong organizational and time-management skills.
Ability to multitask and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Experience in home health, healthcare staffing, scheduling, or care coordination preferred.
Knowledge of ALTCS/DDD processes is a plus.
Additional Information
Must be available for on-call responsibilities outside normal business hours as needed.
Reports directly to the Office Manager or, in their absence, the Clinical Director.
Caregiver training will be provided if not already completed.
