This position is located at the DMV Headquarters in Sacramento.
DMV's Information Systems Division (ISD) is seeking a motivated individual to serve as Technical Developer/Analyst in the Salesforce Development unit of Business Services Salesforce Group. The Technical Developer/Analyst will support DMV's EPN/RAP/CRIMS/CHAP/Other related modern application needs through the development of Software Application Solution Design, Development & Implementation. The Information Technology (IT) Specialist I coordinates the alignment of team activities, development stacks, design methodologies and technical innovation toward the overall ISD strategies; develops solutions using new software technologies, components, frameworks under the guidance of a technical lead/architect; performs software product deployment and release management activities to ensure project milestones are met in accordance with project plans and develops and maintains software documentation for each phase of the SDLC; maintains awareness of emerging methodologies and best practices in application and system development, evolving industry trends, standards, concepts, and practices in compliance with DMV information security standards and practices, and evaluates target platforms, technology stacks, development methodology and testability features of DMV systems and suggest improvements/enhancements and innovative ideas for implementation.

Part-time telework available. Telework requires California residency. This position offers hybrid telework opportunities; however, telework arrangements are subject to change at any time based on State & departmental operational needs. Employees may be required to report to the office as necessary.
This position works in a virtual or a office setting, which may include sitting for long periods of time, accessing a computer, and typing for long periods of time. DMV operates 24/7, so this position may be required to carry a cell phone, work occasional evenings and/or weekends, or attend out of town classes or conferences.
