Description: We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to support our property management team in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our retail properties. The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for a variety of tasks related to the upkeep and improvement of property facilities.
Essential Duties:
- Perform routine maintenance tasks including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and parking lot upkeep.
- Respond promptly to work orders and requests assigned by property management.
- Regularly inspect the property for any issues and report findings to management.
- Uphold safety standards and work to maintain a safe working environment at all times.
- Undertake special projects such as painting and pressure cleaning as needed.
- Conduct preventive maintenance tasks to avoid future problems or breakdowns.
- Carry out additional duties and handle various projects as assigned by management.
Qualifications:
- Experience or knowledge in skilled trades like HVAC, plumbing, and electrical is preferred.
- Self-starter with the ability to work independently on special projects.
- Physically capable of lifting a minimum of 50 lbs and utilizing ladders and scissor lifts up to 20ft.
- Must consistently use proper personal protective equipment (PPE) to ensure safety.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent; further technical or trade education is a plus.
Language Skills:
- Effective communication skills to collaborate with the management team and report on maintenance issues and projects.
Reasoning Ability:
- Capable of identifying problems, collecting relevant data, establishing facts, and drawing valid conclusions for maintenance solutions.
Work Environment:
