Position Overview
The Director of Capital Markets is responsible for leading the firm’s equity capital raising efforts and expanding its investor network. This role is heavily focused on sourcing, developing, and converting relationships with high-net-worth individuals, family offices, and institutional investors to drive capital inflow into the firm’s investment opportunities.
The position is fundamentally production-driven, with success measured primarily by the individual’s ability to generate and secure new equity commitments. The Director will serve as a key external representative of the firm, building long-term investor relationships and positioning the company as a preferred investment partner.
Key Responsibilities
Capital Raising & Investor Development
- Lead all efforts in sourcing and securing new equity capital for the firm’s investment pipeline
- Build, expand, and actively manage a network of investors, including family offices, HNW individuals, and institutional partners
- Proactively originate new investor relationships through outreach, events, referrals, and industry presence
- Maintain ongoing communication with prospective and existing investors to drive repeat investment
Relationship Management
- Serve as the primary point of contact for investor relationships from initial introduction through capital commitment
- Develop and maintain strong, long-term relationships built on trust, performance, and consistent communication
- Identify investor preferences and align them with appropriate investment opportunities
Capital Deployment Support
- Collaborate with internal teams to match investor capital with available opportunities
- Support presentation of investment offerings, including deal positioning and investor discussions
- Assist in closing capital commitments and ensuring a smooth capital raise process
Market Presence & Brand Representation
- Represent the firm at industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities
- Strengthen the firm’s visibility and credibility within investor and capital markets communities
- Contribute to positioning the firm as a trusted partner for real estate investment
